Permanent laser hair removal

Laser hair removal makes it possible to neutralize, using a light beam, the bulb at the root of the hair responsible for its regrowth.

Despite the remarkable effectiveness of laser hair removal, not all patients are eligible for it. In fact, only hairs that contain enough melanin can be removed with a laser since it is melanin that captures the energy of the laser, which is transformed into heat, and is transmitted to the bulb. Thus, laser hair removal is effective on brown and black hair while very light blond, red, gray or white hairs do not contain enough melanin for an effective treatment.

Between two and three days before each laser session for an area outside the face, the area to be depilated should be shaved with a razor (excluding waxing or tweezers). Laser hair removal sessions are performed by a nurse under the supervision of a doctor. On average you need between five and ten sessions to achieve optimal results from the same surface.
