Botox and Hyaluronic Acid

Botulinum toxin

Botulinum toxin, better known by its commercial name Botox®, is a pillar of aesthetic and anti-aging medicine.

Botulinum toxin can act on the persistent skin folds, which loses its elasticity with age by no longer regaining its shape after each contraction. Botulinum toxin neutralizes the muscle responsible for facial expression, relaxing it and preventing it from contracting. The effect lasts for four to six months.

More precisely, botulinum toxin makes it possible to remove certain wrinkles, in particular canthal wrinkles (crease in the corner of the eye), the glabella wrinkle (crease between the eyebrows) and forehead wrinkles.

Also, botulinum toxin injections make it possible to: reshape facial contours, in particular by correcting a jaw that is too square or some noses that are too long.

The injection is done by a specialist who will precisely identify the muscles to be targeted, the points and angles of entry as well as the appropriate dose.

The results are provisional and become visible gradually after a few days and stabilize after two weeks.

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is one of the molecules that make up the dermis synthesized naturally by the human body. It traps water molecules and thus allows moisturize the skin, of fill wrinkles, of increase the volume or of carve face and body shapes. Hyaluronic acid is a filler that is placed under wrinkles, skin furrows and hollows in order to erase them.

The effects of hyaluronic acid injection are visible immediately after treatment, but it takes a few days to see optimal results. The treatment is temporary and lasts depending on the cases and the areas treated, between nine and fifteen months. For the most natural result possible, depending on the areas treated, the injections are done in several sessions.

Hyaluronic acid injunctions treat all areas of the face and body.

In the face, these injunctions make it possible to fill wrinkles and in particular hollow and static wrinkles, which escape the effects of botulinum toxin injections, which they can complete. They also make it possible to restore volume by firming the skin (fill a chin fold, plump the lips, etc.), and correct certain nose blemishes (bumps, spikes, etc.).

Hyaluronic acid filling allows treatment without social exclusion, interruption of work and anesthesia, while being painless.
